Session 5: Thomas Howe, Southwestern University and the Restoring Ancient Stabiae Foundation

Thomas Howe, Coordinator General, Restoring Ancient Stabiae Foundation and Chair Professor, Architecture and Art History, Southwestern University speaking during the fifth session of the CyArk 2013 conference in London on digital preservation of cultural heritage. Thomas speaks about the recent digital preservation work at Stabiae to further
ongoing research at the site. Thomas Howe is an art and architectural historian, field
archaeologist, architectural design teacher and cultural properties master planner and administrator. Since 2000 he has been the Coordinator General of the Restoring Ancient
Stabiae Foundation and the chief author of the master plan to create a large archaeological park on the site, as well as chief archaeologist and master planner.
